SBEM’s Portable Programming Unit 139 PPU is a globally trusted, intrinsically safe, hand-held device designed for precise calibration and programming of SBEM’s 139 PPU via a reliable infra-red link. 139 PPU is certified for hazardous areas (Group IIA & IIB, category ‘ia’, T6) as per IS/IEC 60079-11:2006, and ensures secure operation in challenging industrial environments. Powered by a 9V rechargeable Ni-Cd battery, it offers more than 2 hours of continuous operation and includes an auto power-off feature for energy efficiency. Its microprocessor-based architecture supports two modes, Command mode and Program mode, allowing accurate tank measurement tasks such as level, density, and interface level readings, as well as the programming of alarms, displacer volume, and motor/encoder factors. The compact unit features a 16-character dot-matrix LCD, a 28-key membrane keypad, and robust noise-immune infrared communication, making it a powerful, user-friendly tool for tank monitoring across global oil, chemical, and process industries.
