Two-Day Technical Training Conducted for EPC Partner’s E&M Teams

Comprehensive training on SBEM instruments to boost field efficiency and independent operations.

Introduction

In June 2025, SBEM took another step in strengthening its long-standing collaboration with a leading EPC partner under the Uttar Pradesh Jal Jeevan Mission (UP-JJM) Project by delivering comprehensive, hands-on technical training to the leading EPC partner’s Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) staff.

This initiative wasn’t just about sharing product knowledge, it was about building on-field expertise, ensuring project efficiency, and fostering a self-reliant team capable of handling Level, Flow, and Pressure solutions of SBEM with confidence.

The leading EPC partner is executing large-scale water infrastructure projects under the UPJJM initiative, which involve thousands of SBEM instruments for accurate flow, level, and pressure measurement.

These include:

  • 151 MFM: Electromagnetic Flow Meter for water flow monitoring
  • 138 W: Radar Level Transmitter for non-contact water level measurement
  • 176 LPI: Programmable Level Probe for precise level control
  • 103 HPT: Hydrostatic Pressure Transmitter for submerged applications
  • 171 SPT: Smart Pressure Transmitter for industrial monitoring

Given the scale of the project and the criticality of uninterrupted operations, it was important to equip the on-site engineers and supervisors of the leading EPC partner with complete product understanding, from installation and commissioning to configuration and troubleshooting.

The training sessions were attended by the leading EPC partner’s E&M staff, primarily:

  • Assistant Engineers
  • Supervisors

These are the first-line professionals responsible for site installation, testing, and maintenance, making their technical readiness vital for project success.

The training was conducted over two sessions, on 25th and 26th June 2025, at the project site of the leading EPC partner. The sessions were designed to be interactive, hands-on, and implementation-oriented, covering installation, programming, and troubleshooting for the instruments of SBEM.

Training Highlights:

  1. 151 MFM (Electromagnetic Flow Meter)
    • Installation and commissioning best practices
    • Wiring and mounting guidelines
    • Troubleshooting and field testing
  2. 138 W (Radar Level Transmitter)
    • Programming and parameter configuration
    • Calibration and accuracy validation
    • Site-specific mounting considerations
  3. 176 LPI (Level Probe Instrument)
    • Programming and integration with site controls
    • Handling tips for long-term reliability
  4. 103 HPT (Hydrostatic Pressure Transmitter)
    • Installation in submerged conditions
    • Maintenance and moisture handling precautions
  • Self-reliant team capable of handling 151 MFM, 138 W, 176 LPI, 103 HPT, and 171 SPT without external support
  • Improved project efficiency with fewer delays during commissioning
  • Minimized troubleshooting time and reduced dependency on remote assistance
  • Enhanced trust and collaboration between the leading EPC partner and the SBEM for the UP-JJM project
